 BOOKS and RESOURCES

Becoming a new mom (and dad) is a great challenge mixed with unbridled joy, excitement, and... a good dose of uncertainty.
Much of what is usually learned in prenatal classes and obstetrician/pediatrician clinics cannot prepare you fully for many of the unexpected situations with your new little blessing. Even though we all have human similarities, we have just as many differences.
This can also apply to infants...and children generally throughout their young lives. Just because one baby is relatively "easy" on his/her parents, another baby may need more (and different) attention.
You may be thinking at this point...What does he know about any of this? He's a Guy! Well, for me I took a proactive interest in my child from the beginning... from being in the delivery room to cutting the umbilical cord..and even today (she's an adult now...so I am not quite as involved) I try to be there for her when she needs me.

There were often times when I felt so frustrated because my baby daughter was obviously in pain or discomfort and I didn't know how to help her at those times other than to just hold her (and pat her on her little behind...which seemed to calm her some of the time).
At those times I wish I had read more on babies and what to expect....but more so I would like to have been more prepared to deal with those moments of uncertainty.
There are a number of good books out there on the market regarding many aspects of prenatal, newborn, infant, baby, toddler and various stages of child development for parents.
I have included some select books below on getting ready for the new baby, baby care, baby health, baby needs, baby language, baby milestones, baby diet, baby exercise, natural child birth, parenting, new mom care, breast feeding, getting mom back in shape, new dads and more including several ebooks which can be purchased and immediately downloaded and saved into your own computer for reading at your leisure.
I hope you will stick around for awhile and browse some of the books and resources listed below.
If you can't find a specific topic that you are interested in, please check back as I will be adding material often.
Thanks and God Bless you and yours!
